*Zephyr, once again was getting frustrated with Mika. I'm the one who stopped teasing first! I totally had some great comebacks, but no, I decide to turn serious. And as soon as I turn serious, she tells me to stop joking?? He sighs heavily, and tilts his head slightly.* Well... I kinda figured... I didn't want to become best buds with them...
*Arien began to rethink her decision to be the slave... she was not sure how much she wanted to be with these two, alone in a forest.... but they were both her friends! And so nice when they weren't near each other!*

*Cal was getting frustrated.* Guys, can't you get along just for the next couple of hours? We're all tired and stressed from all the awful stuff that's happened today and yesterday, but we need to work together if we're going to save Penni. Your friend, my baby sister, needs us right now. *He prayed for the hundredth time that she was safe... or at least nowhere near death.*

*Mika nodded.* Let's get going. *She turned to Arien.* you ready for this? It should be an adventure. And incredibly dangerous one, but somehow thrilling. *She pulled her cloak around her.*
*Xylia nodded.* Okay. You guys get along. We'll follow behind. If you aren't back with Penni soon we'll go in after you.

*Arien took a deep breath and nodded. She was determined, they were going to get Penni back.* Ready!
*Zephyr concedes to Cal's plea, feeling rather foolish. He quickly nods and begins walking into the forest.* Come along slave and accomplice! *He says with a lopsided grin.*

*They had been walking for hours, and Cal's feet felt like they were about to fall off, but he ignored the discomfort and focused on the plan. The journey so far had been uneventful and neither he or Xylia had said much. There was a kind of unsettling quietness that had fallen around them. The trees had been growing darker and creepier, but then they started to thin and he could see a clearing up ahead.* Looks like we're there. *He whispered. He stopped at the edge of the clearing and took cover behind a large rock, peering around it at the huge castle that loomed before them.*

*Xylia nodded. She adjusted her leather jerkin so she could walk a little easier. Her paws were sore and she was about ready to collapse. She looked around for a more secret entrance. Usually they left one around for servants or slaves or something. But of course she had to wait for Mika and Zephyr to provide a proper distraction. She hoped they would be able to work together for this cause.*

*Some movement caught Cal's attention, and he saw a guard running toward the castle. He looked to his right where the guard had come from and could barely see another guard through the trees. Mika, Zephyr, and Arien were with the other guard, and it looked like they were doing a good job playing their roles.* Now's our best chance to get to the castle, before the first guard comes back out. *He tightened the straps of his bag and dropped to a crouch.* We'll head to our left towards the back side and try to find a servant's entrance. Stay low, *He added over his shoulder as he began to crawl through the shrubs.*

*Xylia nodded and crouched next to him. She held her two swords close as she crawled through the foilage. She kept her eyes pealed for more guards and other such nuisances. She also realized that she needed to watch for twigs lest someone hear her through the bushes. She figured Cal could do that himself, and she needed to watch her own back this time. She shook the fear out of her brain as she continued to follow*

*After crawling through the shrubs for what seemed like an hour, they were at the castle wall. Cal crawled around the corner and scooted next to the wall, scanning it for and entrance. He saw a door in the middle and headed towards it, glancing around to make sure they hadn't been seen.*

*Xylia quickly followed behind him, making sure that no one saw them or was following them. She ran into Cal while looking backwards.* Oof. *She mumbled some inaudable apology as she followed him through the passage. She still wandered about this backstory. She didn't know why on earth a bat would want her friend and why this crazy ferret was helping him*

*At the sight of Selia, the two door guards scrambled to open the castle doors as quickly as possible. Without even giving them a second chance, Selia marched off toward the forest, her face completely emotionless except for the cruel clint in her eyes.*
*Buckeye panted as he follwoed Selia out the huge castle doors... wait, what was that? He stopped for a moment and turned. He could have sworn that he had seen some movement along the castle wall!!! But that was impossible... wasn't it? After staring for a moment, he swung his head around to see Selia blazing through the foliage. He was torn... maybe he should investigate... but if it was nothing and Selia found out he had left... the consequences would be dire.*

OOC: why is Selia going through the back servant's door?
*Cal reached the door and tried the handle. Unlocked. He cautiously opened it and went inside, glancing behind him to make sure no one had seen them. It took a moment for his eyes to adjust to the darkness inside. He crept through the hallway, close to the wall, headed towards an open door ahead. He froze as a couple guards passes them and for one terrifying moment, he thought they were caught, but the guards didn't seem to notice and kept walking. They finally got to the open door and went inside. It was a laundry room. The only light was from a small window in the corner, and luckily no one was there. A plan was starting to form in Cal's mind and he went over to the row of clean servant's uniforms.* Put one of these on, *he said, grabbing one that looked like his size and quickly changing into it.* We're going undercover as servants to find where Penni is. We'll have to leave our stuff here, but hide a weapon on you. *He stuffed his bag behind a washing basin and put a towel over it to hide it, and he felt his side to make sure his sword was securely strapped on to him and not noticeable.*

*Xylia nodded and hid her pack as well. She pulled on a uniform. Thankfully the uniform was baggy enough to hide her swords properly. Her eyes glinted with the excitement of an adventure, but also with the seriousness of finding her princess. She also needed to make sure that she didn't run into Selia. After all, the ferret would probably recognize her anywhere seeing as the impression she had made on her.*

Okay, ready? *Cal said and took a deep breath. He stepped out into the hallway and turned right, heading deeper into the eerie building. As they walked, they passed two servants who didn't even give them a second glance. They were blending in! Soon the hallway ended and they were in what looked to be the entrance of the castle. Cal stopped and looked around at the several hallways leading out of the entrance room.* Which one should we take?

*Xylia thought for a moment.* I think we just need to find a passage that leads to downstairs. It's my bet that the dungeons go underground. Hopefully we can find her there. Should we split or stick together? *She looked around. They might be able to cover more ground if they split... but it also might prove more dangerous.*
