*Mika nodds. She understood. He probabally didn't want to explain. She decided not to pester him. She bent over to put the pieces in the trash can. Her side protested. She blinked again, it was a second too short to be a wince.*

You don't have to help you don't want to. *Zephyr says again, a little bit concerned this time. Mika may have been an idiot sometimes, but right now, she was being very nice, and he felt obligied to be nice back. She wasn't that bad when she wasn't angry.*

*Mika shruggs* It's fine. I have nothing better to do at the moment. The group won't head out 'till later. *she continued to pick up the shards, careful not to lean over.*

Okay. *Zephyr continued to gather up the broken pieces, and decided to try and make a good conversation.* So, how are you doing today? *He said, not knowing what else to say.*

*Mika shrugged.* I'm alright. Though that incident this morning isn't what I'd call refreshing.

Right. *Zephyr agreed as he went to drop another handful of pottery into the trash can. Okay, that probably wasn't the best way to start a conversation umm....* So.... I hear you're a really good swordsbeast.

I think you've heard that from only me. *Mika shrugged.* At least I think so. How 'bout you? You must be good to say that you could beat me anyday. *Her eyes showed only pure humor.*

*Zephyr was glad she was being humorous. For some reason he could not start a conversation right!* Well, I hope I'm good, I've been praticing for, like, forever.

*Keeping his eyes down and concentrated on work he replies.* I started with a little from my dad. I was a quick learner and soon my dad had taught me all he knew, which was very little, so then he took me to the best teacher in my village: Kered. Kered taught me a lot more, then after that I practiced on my own. And of course, I used those skills to fight off beasts you wouldn't even imagine.*Zephyr face stays perfectly serious, contrary to the sarcasm hinted in his voice.*

*Mika smirked.* I was also taught from the best swordbeast in my village. *She replied.* He was the one who gave me my sword. Good beast, he was. But he's long gone now.

Time passes quickly. *Zephyr shrugged and turned away. To him, the past was not worth remembering. Time kept going, and he had decided to continue life too. Zephyr looked around at the few broken pieces left on the floor and stood up. He sheathed his sword and reached for his pack.* Leave the rest, Mika.

*Mika looked up.* Of course. *She got up, careful not to irritate her side any longer.* We need to find Penni soon don't we? *She hooded her cloak.* And I am going. *She winked as she walked out the door.*
